Alejo Between Lights and Shadows

Alejo, an Argentinian model, and I had been talking for days to arrange this shoot during my trip to Milan, but our schedules just didn’t match. In the end, fate gave us only a few hours before my departure to create these images together.

I left the city with my camera full of the energy and passion of a new model, with such a strong desire to grow that it’s truly inspiring. Alejo is represented by Civiles, an agency I have worked with many times in Argentina, and which destiny – generous and a bit stubborn – decided I should keep collaborating with, even with an ocean between us.

In this series, Alejo moves between Milan’s light and shadow: the warm pavement of the Duomo, the anonymity of the subway corridors, and the intimacy of a photo booth. Black-and-white portraits of strength and reflection mix with neon tones and worn-out colors, creating a timeless urban cinema mood. White tank top and jeans as his uniform, raw and honest attitude. A short but intense story, just like the time we had to tell it.
