Ten Years Later: Lucas Tornquist and the Blue Eyes of Milan

Updated: Feb 26

Life has a strange, poetic way of closing circles. Almost ten years ago, back in Argentina, I held my camera and captured some of Lucas’s first steps into the world of modeling. He was new, I was exploring, and we both had the raw hunger of those who are just beginning to dream. As our careers evolved, the distance grew; between travel, different time zones, and the chaotic pace of our industry, finding a moment to shoot together again in Argentina seemed nearly impossibed nearly impossible.

But the universe has its own agenda. A decade later, the stars aligned in the middle of Milan Fashion Week.

There he was, ten years older, now a seasoned professional who had walked the world's most prestigious runways and worked with the best in the business. Yet, as we stood there in the Milanese light, I saw it: the same spark in those incredible blue eyes, that captivating smile that hasn't lost an ounce of its charm. Despite his success, Lucas still carries that same pure energy, a soul entirely devoted to the craft, giving the very best of himself to every single click of the shutter.

This session for Número Netherlands wasn't just another editorial; it was a celebration of our journey. We weren't just two professionals at work; we were two friends reconnecting through the lens, proving that while time changes our faces and our locations, from the south of Argentina to the heart of Europe—true essence remains untouched. It was about capturing a man who has conquered the world but still works with the heart of that boy I met ten years ago.
