Chance Embry by Nico Quinteros for Fucking Young! | Milan Fashion Editorial

During my last trip to Milan, I had the opportunity to photograph Chance Embry, represented by Independent Management Milan, for a very intimate and instinctive portrait series.


From the beginning, I wanted to keep everything simple. No complicated production, no excessive styling, no distractions. Just natural light, a quiet interior and the space to observe how Chance moved, reacted and connected with the camera.


The idea was to explore a softer side of masculinity — somewhere between confidence and vulnerability. I was interested in gestures, skin, silence and those small moments that happen between poses, when the person in front of the camera stops performing and simply becomes present.


Working with Chance felt incredibly natural. His calm energy allowed the session to develop without forcing anything, and the images slowly became more intimate as the shoot progressed. Some photographs feel almost confrontational, while others are much more delicate and introspective.


The final series moves between black and white and colour, keeping the visual language minimal and focused on body, expression and atmosphere.

What makes this story especially meaningful to me is that it has now been published as an exclusive editorial by Fucking Young!, a publication that has been an important reference within contemporary menswear and male photography for many years.


Seeing these photographs find their place there feels like the perfect ending to a shoot that started simply with curiosity, trust and a camera in Milan.
