There’s something about heat and stillness. The way they settle on skin, on breath, in a room where nothing is forced. That’s what I wanted to capture with Ritse.
We had been trying to shoot for a while — our schedules never aligned. But when it finally happened, the timing felt perfect. As if the universe had saved that specific day just for us. And it was worth the wait.
We kept things simple. No production, no concept-heavy direction — just natural light, a space that felt lived in, and Ritse being himself. What stood out wasn’t just his presence in front of the camera, but his warmth, his humility, and that calm energy that fills the room without trying.
This series moves through quiet domestic scenes: the corridor, the sofa, the mirror, the shadows. Moments that aren’t posed — just paused. Some frames carry a certain tension, others dissolve into softness. But all of them carry him.
It was a true pleasure to work with Ritse. His simplicity and openness made it one of those rare sessions where everything flows.I'll always remember this day — not just for the images, but for the connection and the ease of creating together.
This is Ritse. Not posing. Just being.
